£250 donated to Ambleside AC Juniors Section

Ambleside AC Pic 2Ambleside AC Juniors train weekly and ages range from 7 to 16.  The juniors also race regularly. This year one of their U12 girls was runner up in the national fell running championships, and they have many other juniors who regularly win medals.  The junior section of Ambleside AC started in 2011, coached by two committed members of the senior team, with around 8 junior runners. They now we have 8 regular coaches and around 50 members with many on the waiting list.

They are desperate to support more adults to train as coaches.  Thanks to the nomination from Baysbrown Farm Campsite, the location of a Lakeland 100 checkpoint, Epic Kidz have donated £250 towards the fees for at least one adult to become a coach for the club. This will mean that they can allow another group of children to join the club, train and race with them.
