Kendal Lads & Girls Club has been around since 1938 and has come on a long way over the years. From having their club house built back in 1965 the youth centre has grown to include a new skate park and refurbishments to allow the club to provide numerous activities for the young adults who go there.
Unfortunately the youth centre was closed in December following extensive damage from Storm Desmond. The River Kent passes close by the centre which burst its banks following the storm causing extensive flooding across the gardens and play areas. The main building was also flooded with water filling the cellar and rising to about 3 inches across the whole lower level.
Thanks to numerous donations, the Centre managed to raise funds to fix the storm damage and was able to reopen to the community at the end of January.
Epic Kidz donated £487 to Kendal Lads & Girls Club so that they could replace the sporting equipment that was lost due to Storm Desmond.
