1st Sedbergh Scout Group is part of the Kentdale District and was established in 1973. The group have headquarters in the picturesque town of Sedbergh.
The group currently has a Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop. They have a mix of boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14 together with an active group of volunteers and leaders to help run the group.
The scout group is extremely active and have taken part in activities ranging from helping to build a beacon at the top of Winder Fell for the Queens 90th birthday to developing their nautical skills on the open water. They volunteer at numerous events to include the local Sedbergh Gala which takes place in May every year.
As well as keeping active in the outdoors the scouts also attend organised scouting camps to meet other scouting groups from around the country.
The donation of £250 from Epic Kidz will be used to help fund their scout camps and outdoor activities.
