12 months ago William Horrocks decided he wanted to raise as much money as he possibly could for Bolton Hospice, in memory of his late Father, Brian, and his good friends late wife Alison Brady. He decided he would challenge himself to run 12 marathons in 12 months with the aim of raising £2000.
Starting in January, William, affectionately known as Wonka, kicked off his challenge in Liverpool, shortly following this up with the challenging Grizedale Trail 26 marathon in February. Not being one to pick “nice” marathons, William went on to complete Windermere, Hell of a Hill & Bolton Ironman to name just a few, and his final marathon was in Lanzarote at the start of December.
With the fantastic support of his friends, family and the guys & girls at his triathlon club, Team Deane, William has broken his £2000 target with a total raised to date of £2665.60.
Epic Kidz has donated £500 to support William and Bolton Hospice. Well done on completing your EPIC challenge.
